Acquired Brain Injury Residential
The Edinburg Center provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with acquired brain injury who live in supervised residential settings. The goal of services is to assist these individuals to return to the highest level of functioning and to achieve the greatest degree of independence possible, while also attaining the highest overall quality of life. All services and supports are tailored to a person’s individualized needs and personal goals in all areas of the individual’s life. Examples of rehabilitation areas addressed include self-care skills, physical care, mobility skills, communication skills, cognitive skills, socialization skills, psychological wellbeing, pain management, and family support. Referrals for Acquired Brain Injury Residential Services are made through the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
