BEDFORD, Mass. – The Edinburg Center is pleased to welcome Hussam Atab as its new Director of Human Resources. With over 20 years of experience, Hussam is a respected HR professional in the industry.
Atab joined The Edinburg Center in October of 2023. As Head of Human Resources, Atab oversees the organization’s HR initiatives and ensures every policy and program aligns with The Edinburg Center’s core values and strategic plan, while championing diversity and inclusion at every level.
“My desire to join The Edinburg Center stems from a deep-seated commitment to mission-driven work and the profound impact I’ve witnessed it have on the community,” Atab said. “Working alongside the senior team, I am inspired by the passion that fuels our employees daily, driving transformative experiences for those people we serve.”

Atab has prior HR experience in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He holds degrees from Charles Sturt University (Australia), Deakin University (Australia), and American University of Beirut (Lebanon). In his free time, Hussam enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and searching for new light houses. His goal is to visit 25 new light houses this year.
