Community Announcement: The Edinburg Center Partners with Town of Lexington to Provide Counseling Services
By Regina Norfolk, The Lexington Observer
The Edinburg Center has partnered with the Town of Lexington to offer essential counseling services to residents, ensuring that mental health support is more accessible than ever. These services will be available both in-person at the Lexington Community Center and virtually, making it easy for residents to receive care regardless of their circumstances.
Jillian Orr, an experienced clinician from The Edinburg Center, will lead the initiative, offering therapy for individuals ages five and older. Sessions are provided to Lexington residents at no cost, thanks to funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, ensuring that residents can access mental health care regardless of income or insurance status.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Jillian Orr. “People really appreciate how accessible these services are. Having counseling available in the Community Center makes it easier for people to get the help they need without any barriers. It’s part of creating a culture of mental health support for everyone in our community.”
